Eremito
Eremito — Hotelito del Alma — is a secluded retreat set in the hills of Umbria, inspired by monastic life and designed for silence, simplicity, and reflection.
Created as a contemporary monastery, it offers a rare kind of escape — one that removes distraction rather than adding to it.
There are no televisions, no unnecessary noise, and little signal. Instead, the experience centres on stillness, ritual, and a slower rhythm shaped by the surrounding landscape.
The experience at Eremito is defined by silence and intention.
Days unfold gently, with time given over to reading, walking, resting, or simply being present. Mobile devices are set aside, conversation is limited, and the pace of life slows noticeably.
Meals are taken communally in a candlelit refectory, with simple, nourishing vegetarian dishes served in keeping with the monastic inspiration.
It is not designed to entertain, but to create space — a place to step back, reset, and reconnect with a quieter way of living.
Hidden within a protected valley in Umbria, Eremito is surrounded by forest, hills, and complete stillness.
The location is deliberately remote, reached by a winding approach that reinforces the sense of separation from everyday life.
Built using natural materials and traditional methods, the architecture blends into the landscape, with stone walls, soft lighting, and monastic design principles creating an atmosphere that feels both ancient and quietly refined.
